According to the Rajshahi University Central Students Union (RUCSU) Andolon Mancha Convener Abdul Majid said they had plans to set up a discussion program for Monday where various teachers from Dhaka University, Chittagong University, and Rajshahi University were expected to speak. After all the arrangements were made, the proctor cancelled the permission and pressured them to shutter all RUCSU Andolon Mancha activities. Majid described the university’s actions as “undemocratic and tyrannical” by not extending them the courtesy of any prior warning or discussions afterwards.
