A remake of Hrishikesh Mukherjee’s cult classic Chupke Chupke is reportedly set to star Rajkummar Rao in the role originally played by Dharmendra. T Series’ Bhushan Kumar and Luv Ranjan of Pyaar Ka Punchnama fame have collaborated for the remake, the tabloid further reported. This is not the first time reports of a Chupke Chupke remake have surfaced - in 2013, filmmaker Umesh Shukla reportedly planned to remake the film and had even roped in Paresh Rawal for Om Prakash’s role. Last seen alongside Sonam Kapoor in Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga, Rajkummar Rao is currently working on a few films including Made in China, Rooh Afza and Turram Khan.
