Rain destroys New Zealand Streetstock Championship eventSupplied The New Zealand Streetstock Championship had to be postponed at the weekend. The wet weather that plagued Taranaki over the weekend ruined the New Zealand Streetstock Championship being held at Stratford Speedway for the first time in 19 years. The rain on Saturday caused officials to delay the finals until Sunday afternoon and when it became clear the weather was not going to improve on Sunday, the meeting was postponed. At a meeting on Monday night, the Taranaki Stockcar Club committee decided to completely re-run the meeting after considering all factors. The committee is now working through the dates and the meeting will be re-scheduled for later in the season.
