Torrential rain and strong winds have threatened to snarl travel and cause more destruction as a major storm roared up the US east coast after killing at least 20 people in the south. LUCY NICHOLSON The last of west coast storms broke up over drought-stricken California on Monday. Mississippi reported four dead from a tornado on Saturday, and one death was reported in northern Florida's Columbia County. The US west coast has also been hit by wild weather, with at least four people dead and three missing after a trio of storms.
