Despite the police ban announced by Inspector General Japhet Koome, the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition Party remains optimistic and determined regarding their planned protests on Wednesday. In what could be interpreted as a defiant response to the police statement, Azimio appeared to taunt the authorities by affirming that the protests would proceed as scheduled, displaying their unwavering commitment to their cause. In his statement, Inspector General Japhet Koome emphasized that no protests would be permitted on Wednesday in order to prevent the risk of loss of life. "In this regard, no such demonstrations/gatherings, or protests will be allowed tomorrow (Wednesday) since no such notification has been presented to any police station. All lawful means will be used to disperse such demonstrations," Koome said.
