LUCKNOW: Three days after Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi returns from his parliamentary constituency of Amethi BJP will raise its stakes in the Gandhi bastion with party chief Amit Shah , Union minister Smriti Irani and CM Yogi Aditya Nath reaching there on October 10 for a rally. The leaders will lay the foundation stone of several projects, some of which were promised by Irani when she contested against Gandhi in the 2014 elections. The visit is part of Shah's strategy to focus on Lok Sabha constituencies which the BJP could not pocket in 2014.In 2014, Irani had led a spirited campaign against the Congress vice-president in Amethi, managing to reduce Gandhi's victory margin from around 3.70 lakh in 2009 to 1.07 lakh and boost the sagging morale of party workers there. Irani, now a Rajya Sabha member from Gujarat, had continued to visit Amethi after losing the poll.
