Oliver Mcnab, 34, was found on Wednesday as officers from the Radcliffe Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) were on patrol in the town centre following community concerns about anti-social behaviour. Mcnab was convicted for his failing to appear at court for the original offence of possession of an offensive weapon. Separate from the case, officers again attended the area, close to Railway Street, on Friday. A spokesman for GMP Bury South said: “A number of persons were present at another ‘sheltered’ location nearby. "The knife was seized as part of our continued campaign, under Operation Sceptre, to tackle knife crime in Radcliffe.
