I quite enjoy the Pedant’s letters to this column; they are unfailingly polite and intelligent, and put my witticisms in the shade. Should I have offended him, then that is regrettable since he is usually worthy of respect. Besides, I would remind the readers of this paper that this comes in response to the vitriolic in-vective sicked up by these racist paper tigers who stain this column with their presence. This naturally extends to pusillanimous alter-egos like the ghastly HHB, recently emerged again from under his stone. If we continue to normalise the pernicious currency of hate groups and their openly racist fellow travellers, we risk another descent into the abyss.
