I’d let him rant, mouthing to colleagues that it was Mr Pothole AGAIN and ­imagining a man in a ­cardigan and driving gloves. So now I’m seeing potholes ­everywhere and they ARE a national scandal. But in a bid to get more drivers ­reporting potholes the RAC has created a “humorous” guide to different types, calling them the Alcatraz, the Slalom and the Sniper. It’s written by a fictional Mr Pothole, who still sounds like a bore in a ­cardi and driving gloves, so I’m not sure he’ll get much response. But the scandalous state of our rocky roads is ­costing us dear.
