In her interview with American Vogue, Georgina insisted she never had the slightest suspicion thathe was anything other than the perfect husband. As a famous fashion designer whose brand Marchesa specialises in red carpet creations for A-list actresses, she was a player in ­Weinstein’s world too. Even though self-confessed “sex addict” Weinstein denies any ­criminal behaviour, Georgina’s married name still became a byword for rape and sex abuse. Yes, she’s been ridiculously trusting, but that’s not against the law, and maybe we’re a little too quick to pin the sins of the man on the wife.
