THE race to secure the people’s mandate to take over Putrajaya begins with the announcement on the Parliament dissolution, which goes into effect today. Pas has announced that it will contest for at least 130 parliamentary seats. In GE13, BN won 133 parliamentary seats while DAP (38), PKR (30) and Pas (21). However, the focus will also be on Sabah which has 25 parliamentary seats and Sarawak (31 parliamentary seats)…to the extent many speculated that both states will actually be the determining factor in GE14. Regardless, now it is up to the 14.9 million registered voters to determine who will win Putrajaya in this coming election.
