Photo: EFAEgypt youth team head coach Rabie Yassin has officially resigned from his post after the U-20 team’s coronavirus debacle that cost them their participation in North African Championship. Egypt’s U-20 national team returned to Egypt prematurely from the Tunisian capital after failing to have a complete squad to compete in the North African Championship. Egypt U-20 were set to compete with Tunisia, Libya, Morocco and Algeria. “Rabie Yassin hands his resignation following what happened to him and to the youth national team in the North African Championship,” an official statement read. “Yassin affirms that he will disclose all the facts and behind the scenes matters, with evidence, that caused the national team to lose their chance in representing Egypt in the youth Africa Cup of Nations and the World Cup in the coming period,” he added.
