The new dress code is considered the comfort level of the young volunteers.Since the RSS was established, the "ganvesh" has been the marker of its cadre for over the years. Currently, youngsters with different steams including students of medical and engineering colleges have joined the organization. Interesting, the organization has around 150-200 Muslims as active volunteers in the Prayag vibhag.The move of changing new dress, as per RSS cadre, is being initiated to keep pace with the times and attract more youngsters towards the organisation, who usually refrain from using the shorts fearing teasing. However, some changes been made. The last change came in 2011, when leather belts were replaced with canvas ones because of the cost and poor availability of leather.In the recent times, the strength of shakhas has increased manifold including permanent, bi weekly and weekly in Prayag vibhag in the past two and half years.
