The Chennai Division of the RPF will be putting up banners in railway stations to create awareness among commuters about the availability of this medical kit. Instead they could just call the Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel. The Chennai Division of the Southern Railway has planned to provide RPF personnel with a medical kit containing three medicines — Isordil, Clopildogrel and Atorvastatin — the loading dose for myocardial infarctions. He said any RPF personnel in uniform would be carrying the drugs without fail and the commuters could seek their help. Southern Railway General Manager R.K. Kulshrestha and Chennai Divisional Railway Manager Naveen Gulati were present during the launch.
