more-inThe Anti Extortion Cell (AEC) of the Mumbai Police Crime Branch has arrested five people for allegedly providing information about a businessman to fugitive Suresh Pujari, and planning to attack the businessman on Mr. Pujari’s orders. Plain-clothes AEC officers kept watch on the complainant’s shop and identified a suspect who had been lurking nearby. Continued surveillance confirmed that the suspect, Harish Kotian (30), was keeping watch on the complainant and updating Mr. Pujari about his movements. The police identified another suspect, Sanket Dalvi (25), with whom Mr. Kotian was in regular touch. “Working with our informants, we learned that some men were coming from Ratnagiri to Mumbai to attack the complainant.
