It demanded the quashing of the circular passed by the EPFO in August 2017, which stated that retired employees of exempted organisations are not eligible for higher pension, as per the directive of the Supreme Court. A growing number of retired employees from exempted organisations are seeking legal recourse against the EPFO’s decision.
