Police identified the victim as Senior Master Sergeant Carlito De Guzman, who is assigned at the NPD-Mobile Force Battalion. The informant also told the police that groups of armed men were seen around the illegal cockpit. Elements of the Caloocan City Police Station-North Extension Office, including De Guzman, responded and went to the cockpit at about 1:30 p.m. The pieces of evidence were brought to the Northern Police District (NPD) Crime Laboratory Office for laboratory examination.
