ARAVINTHANTHE Tamil Foundation Malaysia is looking to identify local Tamil educators and honour them with a special prize of RM10,000 each, Makkal Osai reported. Prizes will be given for seven categories, some of which recognise individual excellence while others also apply to organisational contributors. The Tamil Education Lifelong Achievement Award, Best Tamil School Leadership Award, Best Tamil School Teacher Award, Best Tamil Language Teacher Award, and Special Award for Contribution to Tamil Education Development all come with a RM10,000 cash prize, medal and certificate. Meanwhile, the Best Secondary School Teacher Award and Best College/University Lecturer Award both come with a RM5,000 cash prize, medal and certificate.
