KUALA LUMPUR: His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia has emphasised that prudent public spending is essential to ensure national resources are managed efficiently and effectively. In a Facebook post on Tuesday (March 31), His Majesty said such an approach is crucial as the country faces global economic uncertainty. Also present were National Security Council director-general Datuk Raja Nushirwan Zainal Abidin and Petroliam Nasional Bhd (PETRONAS) president and group chief executive officer Tan Sri Tengku Muhammad Taufik Tengku Kamadjaja Aziz. During the meeting, His Majesty was briefed on the latest developments in the economy and national security. It also touched on national security matters, including internal security, border control and the preparedness of security forces.
