Venkatesh Iyer had just received a reprieve in the previous over when Shahbaz Ahmed got into the classical muddle of hands cupped up or down. The convoluted ramp shot was dipping at an angle on Ahmed and it bounced off his confused palms for a royal pop. And very soon after Iyer was dropped, and had stuck his tongue out like a mischief-tot and traced the curve of the shot, reliving the moment in relief of the dropped catch. Kohli in the meantime composed himself, shook his head like a sage, and moved on. Iyer would soon perish, caught behind from a chunky edge.
