We need to start sending our youths to the World Skills Competition. Kenya’s youth need to be there. Identifying skilled youth need to be done the same way we select athletes and footballers to Olympics and other international competitions. The body will establish a tradition of apprenticeship training to help skilled youth keep updating their skills in line with changing times. It would be great to see Kenyan youths at the Skills Olympics in Shanghai in October next year.
