RAB-2 and RAB-11 conducted the raids on Tuesday night following specific tip-offs, RAB media wing Assistant Director ASP Mizanur Rahman Bhuiyan said. The elite force says the four suspected militants were preparing to flee Bangladesh. ASP Mizanur said they were planning to flee because of the crackdown by security forces in Bangladesh. Tamim Ahmed Chowdhury, who police said had reorganised Jama'atul Mujahideen Bangladesh as Neo-JMB, was killed in a raid on a house in Narayanganj along with two others on Aug 27. His 'deputy and armed wing chief' former army major Mohammad Jahidul Islam was killed in a similar raid on a house in Mirpur on Sep 2.
