The detainees are: Sharier Nafis Ammar Hossain, 20; Md Rasel alias Sajedul Islam Gifary, 24; Rabiul Islam alias Nurul Islam, 24; and Abdul Malek, 31. Mahmud Khan said the detainees had been planning a “target and kill” mission against listed online activists and bloggers of the country. “ABT has been involved in killings of several online activists and bloggers in the past. Now they are using chat groups on social media platforms to identify other online activists and bloggers. At one stage of monitoring, the militants planned to kill one of the [members of the atheist group] according to ABT's organizational decision," RAB said.
