It condemns the attempt to spread misinformation about the army in a protest letterThe Inter-Services Public Relations, or ISPR, has protested reports by certain Indian media outlets regarding the “discipline” of the Bangladesh Army. In a protest letter on Tuesday, ISPR said: “The Bangladesh Army is deeply concerned about recent reports published by certain Indian media outlets, including The Economic Times and India Today.”"These reports allege the possibility of a coup and a breakdown in the command chain within the army. “The command chain is robust, and all members of the Bangladesh Army, including senior generals, are unwavering in their loyalty to the Constitution, the chain of command, and the people of Bangladesh. “Any allegations of disunity or disloyalty within the ranks are entirely fabricated and malicious.”The ISPR says it is particularly concerning that The Economic Times has repeatedly engaged in such disinformation campaigns. “Similar false reports were published by the same outlet on the 26th of January just a month prior to these latest stories.
