Three members of banned militant outfit Jama’atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) have been killed in a raid on a house, they have been using as their hideout, in a remote area of Chapainawabganj, RAB has said. Mufti Mahmud Khan, RAB’s legal and media wing director, said the dead militants, all members of JMB old faction, used to train new recruits. A strike team of the elite law enforcement agency cordoned off the abandoned house owned by one Rashikul Islam at the village from 4am, reports UNB. When the RAB strike team asked the militants to surrender, the latter opened fire and threw grenade to the elite forces which prompted the strike team members of to retaliate back. A fire broke out at the house following the bomb explosion, confirms a RAB official.
