Fifty-three cases of murder have been registered at different police stations in Dhaka over the violence surrounding the quota reform protests. However, it is not yet clear how many murder victims were identified in the various cases. Dhaka Metropolitan Police Joint Commissioner Biplob Kumar Sarkar noted that there were a total of 264 cases of violence at 50 different police stations in the Dhaka Metropolitan area, of which 53 were murder cases. The Dhaka Metropolitan Police has no conflict with ordinary students and is very sensitive to their needs, Biplob said. Some cases over the violence were filed by the government, while others were filed by those who suffered losses.
