MENTION the town of Teluk Intan, and it’s likely that this charming clock tower in Perak comes to mind. Is it true that it was used to store water for the local community? In fact, the weight of the water tank is also one reason why the 85-feet tall clock tower is leaning. "Also, the weight of the water tank that was holding water made it lean to the west," read an explanation on the Teluk Intan Municipal Council website of the now tourist attraction in Perak. As of today, the tower no longer holds water but the clock still works and chimes every 15 minutes.
