Qantas flight that won't cost a cent - but there's a catch

If this new concept is deemed successful, Qantas has said it plans to operate more regular Frequent Flyer-only flights in the near future. Qantas has unveiled a new flight where every seat on board won't cost a cent – but there's a catch. The Australian-based airline's new Points Plane will see travellers jetting from Melbourne to Tokyo, Japan without handing over any money, with seats exclusively on offer to members redeeming Qantas points. The inaugural Points Plane will be an Airbus A380 operating from Melbourne to Tokyo (Narita) on October 21, 2019, with Qantas Frequent Flyers able to book seats from Thursday, May 16. If this new concept is deemed successful, Qantas has said it plans to operate more regular Frequent Flyer-only flights in the near future.
