MANILA, Philippines — The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) has been ordered to investigate a shooting incident involving a distressed police officer, who even used his son as a shield against responding policemen in a barangay near Camp Crame. Gen. Ronnie Montejo called for a thorough probe of the incident which occurred early Thursday morning. Salahudin, who was assigned to the Regional Crime Laboratory Office, went out of his room after hearing a commotion outside. But instead of complying with his fellow officers, Jovero supposedly used his son as a human shield while opening fire at his comrades. After getting wounded, the suspect was said to have returned to the comfort room, but Salahudin and Destura fought back this time.
