Facebook engineer and University College London (UCL) professor Mark Harman has won a prestigious award from the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). Here is what he had to say about joining Facebook and winning the award in a recent email interview. However, it wasn't until September 2016 that we incorporated the company Majicke, which included myself and two other current Facebook London engineers: Yue Jia and Ke Mao. This would allow us to see the research work done over many years deployed at Facebook at scale, and ultimately give us the potential to develop it further. More details can be found in the blog post about Sapfix, and for full scientific treatments, we have the forthcoming paper at the International Conference on Software Engineering (ICSE), which will be published in the “Software Engineering in Practice” track.
