Raila, speaking on the cost of living told President William Ruto that not everyone will face him and say the truth. Punda imechoka kwa sababu ya garama ya juu ya maisha na mimi ndiye nakuambia kwa niaba ya watu," he said,This translates to: The people will not tell you the truth but the citizens are tired. The Azimio leader went further and told President Ruto that the cost of living needed to be relooked at because at the moment people are suffering. Raila on Friday weighed in on the ongoing debate about the Housing Fund tax proposed by President Ruto. Admitting the idea is good, Raila said some Kenyans already have houses and should not be subjected to Housing Fund tax.
