Skydiving company Inflite has been forced to delay the launch of their new operation from the Pukaki Airport and cancel a week of customers due to a "bizarre" issue with the Mackenzie District Council's planning department. "You don't require a resource consent to operate any aviation related commercial activity or businesses from the airport," Inflite chief executive Adam Joyce claims. Inflite Inflite announced the launch of it's Aoraki/Mt Cook operation earlier this year. Inflite The company have not had to source consents for their other operations in Franz Josef and Abel Tasman. "I think that, again looking at this logically, one shouldn't be required to get a resource consent to land an aircraft on an airfield, period.
