A mother and daughter both competing in this weekend's Country Music Association Entertainer of the Year Awards is unlikely to result in a family split. Alison Flavell of Taupō, mother, will be singing alongside Cherie Sinclair, her daughter, who lives in Whakatane. The NZCMA's 40th Entertainer of the Year Awards is at Baycourt's Addison Theatre, Tauranga this Saturday, (October 5). The awards two shows feature top selling entertainer Dennis Marsh in the matinee and kiwi icons the Topp Twins in the evening concert. She runs through the achievements of her daughter with some pride - runner up in the Trans Tasman Country Music Entertainer of the Year, top three in two competitions that she went to in Tamworth.
