KUALA LUMPUR: Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Dr Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki urged the public not to share pictures of victims who were killed in the fire at the Darul Quran Ittifaqiyah tahfiz centre. He expressed sadness and disappointment to see the pictures being posted and viralled on social media platforms. “Where are our values and ethics as Muslims and civilised human beings who should empathise with those who lost their loved ones,” he asked on his Facebook posting. “Possibly, spreading the pictures and video is seen as a way of channelling information, but the important thing to empathise with the feelings of the families of the victims. The fire, which broke out at 5.15am killed 21 students and two wardens.
