Picture by Pradip SanyalCalcutta: Blockades put up by political parties disrupted traffic in several parts of the city on Thursday. Members of Left trade unions carried out snap demonstrations at 12 locations between 12.55pm and 1.40pm to protest the fuel price hike. Traffic was disrupted at the Moulali crossing, Kankurgachhi crossing, Behala Chowrasta, Gariahat crossing, MG Road-Central Avenue crossing, Hazra crossing and the Shyambazar crossing. Similar blockades were put up at the Strand Road-KK Tagore Street crossing and the Taratala crossing between 2.30pm and 3.05pm.
