Around 1pm on Wednesday, protesters started a procession from Murad Square, adjacent to the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, under the platform “Jahangirnagar against Corruption.”The procession ended in Murad Square after a brief rally in front of the VC’s residence on campus. During the rally, the platform’s spokesperson and coordinator Prof Rayhan Rhyne said: "We will continue our protest until our three demands, announced on November 25, are met." Bangladesh Chhatra Union's JU unit Executive Member Rakibul Islam Roni said: "The current JU authority is ruining thousands of students' lives." Sushmita Mariam, president of Samajtantrik Chhatra Front's JU unit, said: "It is easier to prove innocence than guilt over corruption allegations. Instead of proving her innocence, the VC has chosen to shut down the university.
