Protest against war in Gaza to take place in AthloneThe Athlone Palestinian Solidarity Group has announced that there will be a 'bridge vigil' protest on Athlone's new pedestrian bridge this Friday, May 31, at 8pm. This protest is part of a nationwide initiative called Droichid 32, being organised in every county in Ireland. So far, over 80 bridge vigils have been confirmed to take place on Friday evening. We ask all Athlone people to join us in our nationwide demand for a ceasefire. The killing must stop.”The Athlone Palestinian Solidarity Group have repeatedly stated their aim, which is to “demand a ceasefire and an end to the horrific war on the children of Palestine”.
