This Facebook post with an image supposedly of the remains of an Ethiopian soldier is FALSE. The Afaan Oromo text accompanying the 23 May 2024-dated photo translates to; “Picture of the Ethiopian soldier. Ethiopianism that takes Oromo intellectuals’ lives.”However, Google reverse image search results established that the image is not of the remains of an Ethiopian soldier. The Alamy website published the image and indicated that it was taken on 1 October 2014.
