A proposed mountain bike park in the Waikaia Forest would be family friendly as well as catering for more advanced riders. The meeting was held in Waikaia on Wednesday night by the Ardlussa Community Board in regards to the proposed park in the Waikaia Forest. Mountain biking is a huge sport and its only going to get bigger.’’Rachael Kelly/Stuff Waikaia residents and some mountain bikers heard plans for a proposed mountain bike park near the town at a public meeting on Tuesday. Southland Mountain Bike Club president Simon Heslip also urged residents to get behind the project.
