This development came as the Commission on Elections (Comelec) await for the transmission of only six certificates of canvass (COCs) as of 3:35 p.m. of Sunday. As long as we get the COCs that we are waiting [for],” Comelec Director Frances Arabe told reporters in an interview. Aside from this, Arabe said that the body still has “logistical concerns” regarding the proclamation of elected senators and party-list groups. “For the meantime, we are just preparing for the logistical concerns — mauuna ba si party-lists or pangalawa ba siya, o mauuna si senators,” Arabe said.
