Hassan has called for extending the probe into the murder of National Development Front (NDF) worker Mohammad Fazal at Thalasery in 2006 to the recent disclosure of former police officer that the then Home Minister Kodiyeri Balakrishnan had directly asked him to stop the probe when the police zeroed in on local CPI(M) leaders. He demanded that the cases of murder of BJP worker and advocate Valsaraja Kurup and Panchara Shinil be re-investigated. Mr. Radhakrishnan had disclosed that Kurup and Shinil had been killed after they had given him vital information relating to the murder of Fazal. BJP demands CBI probeBJP district president P. Sathyaprakash demanded that the CBI be asked to re-investigate the Valsaraja Kurup and Shinil murder cases in the wake of the latest disclosure by Mr. Radhakrishnan. The former police officer’s disclosure was disturbing, he said adding that even the investigating officer faced physical attacks when the probe into the Fazal murder case turned to the local CPI(M) leaders.
