On Thursday morning, a convoy from Western Canada leaves Red Deer, Alta., midway between Edmonton and Calgary, Ottawa-bound to protest the federal government. Originally organized online, under a Facebook group called Yellow Vest (Official) Convoy to Ottawa, this contingent was one of two gearing for the capital. Jack Graham, a resident of Bonnyville, a six-hour drive north of Medicine Hat, said he organized a Yellow Vest convoy on Facebook to run up, down, and lap his hometown the same day. Jan. 22, 2019: Edmonton Starting from Lamont, Alta., 70 kilometres northeast of Edmonton, Graham’s second Yellow Vest convoy was slated to run counter-clockwise on the Henday before turning back to the rally point.
