People’s Party: Opposes legislation that categorizes Islamophobia as a hate crime, condemning it as a restriction on freedom of speech. Promise to extend a national carbon framework with the provinces to co-ordinate and support carbon pricing to reduce emissions. Support the carbon tax and a price on pollution and want much stronger enforcement against corporate polluters by Ottawa. People’s Party: Very opposed to the carbon tax and says the Conservatives’ opposition is inconsistent and lukewarm.
