KUALA LUMPUR: Private universities have been encouraged to get involved in the Sekolahku Universitiku programme to help schools boost students’ academic development and excellence. Education Minister Dr Maszlee Malik said private universities could be an important component of the programme, whcih currently involves public universities. The Sekolahku Universitiku programme, he said was aimed at improving schools’ facilities and helping in students’ academic development. “By participating in the programme, university students can have a more productive learning environment, as well as get closer to the community. A total of 20 public universities, four government-linked universities and 43 primary and secondary schools nationwide are involved in the Sekolahku Universitiku programme.
