The accused, Abul Hossain, 35, was apprehended at his father-in-law's house at Sreenagar upazila in Munshiganj on Thursday, Kamrangirchar police station Sub-Inspector (SI) Sheikh Morshed Ali said. During primary interrogation, he confessed to raping the girl for almost a year, the police official said. Meanwhile, a Dhaka court sent the victim's father, Md Liton, 36, to jail on Wednesday. SI Morshed said that the victim, 13, was staying with her father as her mother is an expatriate. Her father worked in a poultry shop owned by Abul Hossain and took Tk6,000 loan from Abul about a year ago.
