Following "rollercoaster" planning, festival director Martin King said the event was ready to be held under Alert Level 2. That planning started when the country came out of lockdown in May; the team looked at how it would operate in all levels. "Certainly operating at Covid Level 2 is going to be really, really challenging but also really rewarding." "So our events in the final weekend that typically sold out with an international audience ... has all sold out with a domestic audience."
