NewsPresident Maithripala Sirisena will deliver the Government's Policy Statement at the Second Session of the Eighth Parliament today (8). The ceremonial opening of the Second Session of the Eighth Parliament is due to commence at 2.15pm. Party Leaders have decided to have a debate on the Government's Policy Statement on May 10. President Sirisena on April 12 issued a Gazette proroguing Parliament until May 8.
