NewsHigh Commissioner of India Taranjit Singh Sandhu and Ambassador of France, Jean-Marin Schuh jointly handed over today an invitation to President Maithripala Sirisena to to attend the International Solar Alliance (ISA) Founding Conference and Solar Summit is scheduled to be held in New Delhi on 11 March 2018. Sri Lanka signed the Framework Agreement on ISA on 31 January 2018 in New Delhi. President Maithripala Sirisena attended the launch of ISA at the COP-21 in Paris on 30 November 2015. The ISA was launched by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi & the then President of France H.E. The ISA aims to mobilize more than US $ 1 trillion of investments needed by 2030 for massive deployment of solar energy.
