President Uhuru asks Koreans to invest in Kenya


Uhuru has called for more partnership between Kenya and Korea in the construction of roads, pipelines and ports. President Uhuru Kenyatta has invited more Korean companies to set up businesses in Kenya, in the latest move by government to lure more foreign investments to the country. During the forum, deputy President William Ruto challenged the Kenyan private sector to increase the volume of exports to Korea. Kenya mainly exports to South Korea tobacco, flowers, tea, coffee, scrap metal, gemstones, pyrethrum, spices, fish, wood products, handicrafts, beer. The president, who was speaking at a Kenya-Korea Business Forum in Nairobi on Tuesday evening, also called for investments in ICT, agriculture and e-government.
