Expose former MPs still on payroll or we will sue you, civil society group tells EACC


The congress intends to petition the EACC, the Director of Public Prosecutions and Muturi to take action against culpable MPs. The National Civil Society Congress has threatened to move to court to compel the EACC to make public its findings about fictitious travel and sitting allowances in Parliament. The Njoya lead-team said it will sue if the EACC does not release its findings immediately. In their audit report handed over to National Assembly speaker Justin Muturi, the commission said the Public Service Commission has not updated its payroll. The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission in December said several former MPs are still receiving salaries.
